About Me
Ixchel (pronounced E-Shell) was the Mayan goddess of medicine and healing. She's a strong figure that embodies care and love. She represents empowerment through the many facets that can create good health. My goal is to empower and inspire my patients to take a very active role in optimizing their good health. I've been in the healthcare field for 23+ years and worked in many different areas. I became a nurse practitioner so I could focus on the entire person and not just a single medical issue. Have you ever had a provider tell you that everything looks fine on paper but you still don't feel your best? I like to explore ways to make patients feel the best that they can even when medical tests show that everything should be normal. I've suffered from hypothyroidism for many years and have experienced lab tests being normal yet, I still didn't feel my best. I had brain fog, fatigue, joint aches, weight struggles and no answers. The focus is listening and really hearing your perspective. Together, we can determine the best course of treatment that fits your needs and lifestyle. Don't have insurance? That's not an issue.
